It's a great game, but serriously.HELP!Īctually, preventing them from making a Baneblade is pretty easy. I've played it about 3 times and had to bail each time when it was obvious I was beaten.
#DAWN OF WAR SOULSTORM TAU STRATEGY UPGRADE#
or do I just take it in the shorts for a while and hope the Guard runs out of shells? I have noticed that once I take out a production base the Guard leave that sector alone for a while.should I be pressing faster into the middle? If I do that then those silly production bases upgrade the Guard's forces too quickly.
#DAWN OF WAR SOULSTORM TAU STRATEGY HOW TO#
I can take the East and South production bases alright (On the map edge guarded by Chimera (East) and Walkers (South), but I don't know how to stop the Guard from getting those huge artillary templates and fighters. The guard has troops and reserves to burn in this scenario. In the Emperor's name, all I have by then are little Exorcists and Immolators!), but there has to be some other trick to this thing. I think I get the bit about stopping the rhinos (Baneblade convoys) as soon as they are dispatched (The first time I played the scenario they brought Baneblade production online and that was insane. By the time I get my vehicles online the Guard have spotters calling down huge artillary templates on my forward troops. That sector seems overly stacked against any attacker, especially the poor Sisters who even with a forward base of a Convent, Pristine Sanctuary, and extra power stations need to capture a lot of objectives (And there are few within initial reach) to upgrade the Chapel and start vehicle production. Solution: Start Steam (or Soulstorm, if you own the retail version) with right-click-> run as admin.Įasiest way for steam-users is deactivating the auto-start of steam and create a shortcut on your desktop. Can someone please help me beat the Imperial Guard as the "Sisters of Battle" in the Guard's home sector of Dussala Precinct on Kaurava I? This is the campaign game. If you run Vista, Soulstorm probably won't start with admin permissions, resulting in an invalid CD-Key Dialog (although the keys are there and correct of course). V1.1 released, should now work smoothly with Vista 64bit, if you run it as admin
#DAWN OF WAR SOULSTORM TAU STRATEGY UPDATE#
I have no idea, why some people have a directory named "Wow6232Node" in their registry, which should only be existant in the 64bit version of Windows, and 'cause of the serious lack of received beer, i'm too lazy to update it. Pls give me feedback (beer would be fine too *g*)ġ) if you have used the DC Unlocker before, go to your Soulstorm directory and delete the following files IF they have no icons and 0 bytes: W40k.exe W40kWA.exe and DarkCrusade.exe (in fact you can delete them anyway, but it doesn't matter, if they are really the original exe from previous DoW versions)Ģ) if you have messed with your registry before (without properly knowing, what you are doing), fix it or simply reinstall Soulstorm and run the Unlocker againģ) If you get the error "/GraphicsConfig.exe could not be found." and reinstalling Soulstorm does not help, then try the old version of the unlocker. Vista Business 64bit (Unlocker Version 1.1) Vista Business 32bit (with and without SP1)

You only need Soulstorm installed and it should work fine (hopefully). In the last 2 nights I wrote a little application, which pretty much works the same way as the DCUnlocker made by Bilge.
